Revealed: Tullow Town Centre First Plan for regeneration and development has been approved

The Tullow Town Team was subsequently set up in order to create a new vision for Tullow with engagement from local residents and businesses to inform and shape this Town Centre First Plan. 1,200 comments from the people of Tullow were gathered and used to develop this plan.

The team proposed 11 projects.

These projects include:

1. The Market Square

2. Court House

3. Heritage Garden & Exemplar Housing

4. Biodiversity Walking Loops

5. River Walk

6. Riverfront Amenity Area

7. Water Activity Area

8. Pedestrian & Cycle Bridges

9. Laneways & Alleyways

10. Captain Murphy Memorial Hall

11. Town Park

This plan was approved at the Municipal District of Tullow meeting yesterday, with Councillors congratulating the team on their hard work.

Approval of this plan allows Tullow to apply for funding in the future under a variety of streams.

Further extensive public consultation will take place as and when applications are being prepared for funding.
