The Town Centre First Plan (TCF Plan) is a strategic framework aimed at revitalizing Carrick-on-Suir, enhancing its economic resilience and fostering a sustainable, community-driven future. The Plan aligns with natonal Town Centre First policy,which prioritses combatng vacancy, dereliction, andeconomic stagnation in town centres. In recognition of its active Town Team and previous regeneration initiatives,Carrick-on-Suir has been designated as a Pathfinder Town.
The TCF Plan updates the Carrick-on-Suir Vision 2030 Plan to incorporate newly secured Rural Regeneration Development Funding (RRDF), and builds upon the comprehensive Regeneration Plan – ‘A Journey from the Suir Blueway to the Ormond Castle Quarter’ 2021. The goal is to make the town a vibrant, attractive, and
sustainable place to live, work, and visit. It focuses on an area within a 10-minute walking radius from the town centre.
