Dunshaughlin
Dunshaughlin was for the best part of the last century, the main centre of administration for the south Meath area, with the physical presence of council offices for the region, and a District Courthouse, now disused. Retaining a single street it retains in most respects, the
attractive physical character of a 19C, pre-industrial rural Irish village.
The Dunshaughlin ‘Town Centre First Plan’ sets out a vision for the future, which identifies a series of projects through which that vision could be realised. It is aimed at everyone with a interest in the future development of the village, including residents, communities, local groups and businesses, the local authority, central government, and private developers.
