Kanturk

The Town Centre First Regeneration Plan for Kanturk is the culmination of a comprehensive programme of research, consultation, engagement and analysis, the purpose of which is to ensure a documented vision for Kanturk Town Centre. This vision builds on National Plans and Policies as well as the Cork County Development plan to bring a clear focus to the priorities of the Kanturk community.

The primary objective throughout the plan development process is to arrive at a shared vision for Kanturk that places the Kanturk community at its core. Intrinsic to this vision is the identification of, and agreement on, 7 over-arching themes that will support town centre regeneration in Kanturk. These themes are set out in Chapter 5 along with 14 specific actions to be progressed in a collaborative manner between Cork County Council and the Kanturk Town Team. Chapter 5 also sets out the framework for implementation of the Kanturk Town Centre First Regeneration as a community-centric vision for Kanturk.
